Fed: Union delegates to meet over plan for maintenance workers
SYDNEY, Feb 4 AAP - Union delegates will meet in Sydney and Melbourne this morningas Qantas maintenance workers return to work after four days of stand-downs.
More than a hundred heavy maintenance staff were "stood aside" by Qantas managementfrom their shifts at the Sydney jet base during the weekend after refusing to work overtime.
Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) industrial officer Tim Ayres said delegatesfrom the AMWU and Australian Workers Union (AWU) planned to meet at the jet base at 9am(AEDT) to discuss the possibility of further stand-downs.
