FED: Crean vows to bend over backwards for caucus

Deputy Opposition Leader SIMON CREAN has vowed to involve caucus in decision-making,
after drawing flak over Labor support of the government's business tax package.

About six MPs have criticised Mr CREAN, the opposition treasury spokesman, for not
consulting, or even informing, caucus that Labor had decided to support the reforms.

Mr CREAN has told told ABC radio he'll continue to involve caucus and individuals who
are interested in decisions at every point.

Labor agreed last week to support Treasurer PETER COSTELLO's business tax package in
full, after they were promised that halving the capital gains tax would pay for itself
and the government would crack down on avoidance.
