Vic: Family car trip ends in tragedy
A family car trip south of Melbourne has ended in tragedy .. with a back seat argument
between two brothers ending with one dead and the other seriously injured.
Police say the father pulled over on Point Nepean Road in the bayside town of Rye just
after midnight .. where his 21- and 22-year-old sons began pushing and shoving each other.
Their father tried to intervene .. and all three were hit by a grey ute .. before another
car struck the 22-year-old.
He died at the scene .. his younger brother was airlifted to The Alfred hospital with
life-threatening injuries and their father was treated at Rosebud Hospital for abrasions.
The other two drivers are helping police with their inquiries.
